AKSU Registration Deadline For 2016/2017 Extended

3. Appropriate fees must be paid before registration.

Abia Emerges Best In WAEC 2017 May/June Results - Check The Top Ten States

The latest report on the recently published 2017 WAEC May/June SCCE results best performance has turned out to be Abia State.

The report states that 81.54% of 51,839 candidates who took the 2017 May/June WASSCE in Abia State, obtained five credits which include Mathematics and English Language.

River State, Edo State, IMO State, Bayelsa State, were also reported to be the second, third, fourth and fifth best performed behind Abia.

Anambra state, Lagos State, Taraba State, Enugu State and Delta State occupied the sixth to tenth best performed in that order.

However, the Taraba State have increased their students performance from 21st last year to 8th year.

WAEC Throws Light On Exam Remarking, Withheld And Outstanding Result

The West African Examination Council (WAEC)  have disclosed that candidates who were not satisfied with their results can apply for there script to be remarked. This information was disclosed while attending to candidates questions on their Twitter account.

However, the application for the remarking of your script, can only be done through the school where the examination was written. You first notify the school for the script remark, then the school sends an application letter to the West African Examination Council (WAEC). A fee has to be paid for this application and should not be submitted  after 60 day of result release.

The council also made a remark on the difference between Withheld Results and Outstanding Results.
According to the council, Outstanding Results  simply means pending results. This could be as a result of errors made by the candidates during registration or on the Examination day that was corrected, however there are high chance of releasing this results.

Withheld results are as a result of the violation of the examination rules by the candidates, however this results may not be released. The decision on this results will be taken during the National Executive Council meeting that will be held in November this year. However, such results may or may not be released.

Prospective candidates must not be less than Eighteen years (18) of age.

You must have WASC/NECO Credit in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology, not more than 2 sittings.

The application requires three copies of passport photographs.

Candidates who seek admission into Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia (NASPOLY) are to be informed, that the application form are now on sale for  admission into High National Diploma (HND), Pre-National Diploma (Pre-ND) and Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE).

A non-refundable fee of N5,000 for the purchase of the HND form and N4,000 for the purchase of  the Pre-ND and IJMB form are to be paid by the candidates.

The Polytechnic UNITY bank account Number 0014957785 has been specified for the payments.

After making your payment, you are expected to present an evidence of your payment to the revenue Unit of the polytechnic and you will be given a receipt which will be taken to the Academic Department of the Registry to collect the Application forms.

FUNAAB Notice To Students On 2016/2017 Registration

At the meeting held by the Senate of Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) on July 18th, 2017 considered the appeal of undergraduate who are yet to register for 2016 /2017 academic session

Candidates under this category have been directed by the Senate to individually appeal to the Vice-Chancellor through their Dean, Student Affairs within two (2) weeks from today, disclosing the full details why they did not register within the given time, it is advice that this appeals are backed properly.

How To Check WAEC 2017 May/June Results

In this post, we will show the full step on how 2017 WASSCE candidates can check their results.
1. Enter https://www.waecdirect.org on your browser.

2. Input your 10-digit WAEC Examination Number.
(This means your 7-Digit centre number followed by your 3-digit candidate number, all put together eg. 4123456789).

3. Input the 4 digits of your Examination Year eg. 2017.

4. Choose the Examination Type (SCHOOL CANDIDATES RESULT).

5. Input the Card Serial Number found at the back of your Scratch card.

Note: The PIN and Serial Number for result checker are on the flip side of the candidates’ CIVAMPENS Card given to all candidates by WAEC, and used by them during the conduct of the examination.

6. Input your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and your Scratch card.

7. Finally, Submit and wait for the results to display.

WAEC Releases 2017 May/June Results; 214,952 Results Withheld - See Statistics

The Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results have been released by the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC).

This was made known during a press briefing at the council's office located in Yaba, Lagos State, by the the head of Nigerian National Office of WAEC.

Based on his statistics, 1,471,151 (One Million Four Hundred and Seventy One Thousand One Hundred and Fifty One) candidates, representing 94.36% of the total number that wrote the examination have their results fully processed and released, while 95,734 (Ninety Five Thousand Seven Hundred and Thirty Four) candidates, representing 5.64% of the total number of candidates that wrote the examination have a few of their subjects still being processed due to errors traced to have been made during registration or writing the examination.

He stated that a total of 923,486 (Nine Hundred and Twenty Three Thousand Four Hundred and Eighty Six) candidates, representing 59.22% of the released results, obtained minimum of credits in five (5) subjects and above, English Language and Mathematics inclusive.

From the statistics he stated, 59.22%, percent performance of candidates that obtained five (5) credits and above including English Language and Mathematics in the WASSCE for School Candidates shows an improvement to the result statistics in 2015 and 2016 which was stated to be 38.68% and 52.97%, respectively.

However, the results of 214,952 (Two Hundred and Fourteen Thousand, Nine Hundred and Fifty Two) candidates, representing 13.79% of the total percentage of candidates that wrote the examination are being withheld for further investigation in connection with various cases of examination malpractice.

All candidates who sat for the examination, should  check the Council's official website with the result checker pin and serial number to view their performance.

JAMB Employs New Method For 2017/2018 Admission Process

A new system known as the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) has been developed by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), to ensure admission fairness.

Dr Fabian Benjamin, (JAMB public relation officer) said that the board had held a conference with all the institutions within the country to ensure fairness in admission process.

He he further explained that the software will be programmed in such a way that all the institution's criteria will embedded into it, and this will restrict the actions of a third party.

Also, he further added that the official cutoff marks of institutions have not been published as this can be done only at a policy meeting.

However, the 2017 admission process and the conditions acceptable for admission will begin the policy meeting.

OSPOLY Daily Part-time 1st Semester Exam 2016/2017 Postponed

The Osun State Polytechnic Iree's authority has ordered that the Daily part time Students will start their First Semester Examination on Wednesday 19th July 2017.

IBBU Notice On 2nd Semester Exam Card Printing 2016/2017

To all Ibrahim Badamosi University Lapai (IBBU) students, you are hereby notified that the the exam card for the second semester examination has been activated.

Note:Do not login with another persons account unless you are printing for that person.

  • Under the list of services, Click on the "Print Result Slip"
  • On the next page that appears, click "continue with payment" to make payment via Remita or other options available.
  • JAMB Original result will be displayed once your payment is confirmed successful, then print immediately or check your mail any time to print.

To print your Jamb  Original Result, you are required to pay the sum of One Thousand Naira (N 1000).

Finally ensure to check your printout to confirm your date remember, you passport must be on it

Delta Poly Ozoro To Get Support From NDDC

Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has promised to support Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro with the basic infrastructure, like hostel accommodation and other constructions in the school.

Mr. Nsima Ekere, who is the NDDC Managing Director stated this on receiving the members of the Governing Council of Delta Poly Ozoro, on Tuesday 11th, 2017,  and was led by Funkekeme Solomon, who is the Chairman at the NDDC Headquarters in Port Harcourt City.

The Commission is putting all efforts to see that all ongoing projects in the institution are completed, said by Ebere, represented by the Executive Director Projects.

He added that the provision new basic infrastructures like hostel accommodation will be done by the Commission, to improve the institutes standard of learning.

The Chairman of the institutes Governing Council, Solomon earlier pleaded on NDDC to order the contractors handling the three major projects in the school, such as the 2-storey ICT Building, twin lecture theater and on-going road at various stages of completion to return to the site.

The dichotomy between Universty degree holders and Higher National Diploma has been put to an end by the Para-military services.

On regular basis, the Prisons Board, fire, Immigration, Civil Defence has instructed that all HND holder officers should be upgraded to the degree certificate holders salary grade level, which is COMPASS 08 at entry points.

This was approved on Tuesday, 11th July 2017, during the meeting between the Prisons Board, fire, Immigration and Civil Defence, which was chaired by the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau.

The Minister of Interior, Abubakar Magaji, Permanent Secretary, stated that it was directed by the board and added that the HND holders will begin with Senior Inspector rank, while the degree holders with Assistant Superintendent II rank.

KSU management Orders Immediate Resumption Of Academic Activities

An immediate resumption of academic activities of Kogi State University (KSU) has been ordered by the school management.

This was as a result of the ongoing strike in the school which was decided by the institution's Academic Staff Union Of Universities chapter.

The management took this action because after all the pleas and much work put in to meet the the lectures need, the lectures on their own are not helping things as they are not satisfied, hence decided not to resume academic activities.

However the management has ordered all her staffs to resume work immediately and has called the immediate resumption of academic activities.

Screening Card is sold at a sum of N3,000 and should be purchased by applicants at the OSPOLY Microfinance Bank, Iree or its branches located at Osogbo, Ayetoro or Isokun Junction, Ilesa.

Breaking News: Fed Poly Idah Shut Down By Management Following Students' Protest

The authority of Federal Polytechnic, Idoh located in Kogi State, announced the shut down of the institution, as a result of students protest which led to the murder of  the school staff, Gabriel Adiku.

Mr. D.I.S. Uwuchol, Deputy Registrar (Academics),  disclosed in a statement  that the governing council have reviewed the school security situation and concluded to shutdown the school.

The school staff who was murdered, was stabbed, but the students rushed him to the school clinic, though he didn't make it. However the students destroyed the school clinic. They said that Adiku died because the clinic was not equipped.

The school will now reopen by August 6, 2017.

Postgraduate programmes ad in the Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt admission applications are invited from eligible candidates for 2017/2018 academic session.

MODE OF APPLICATION

Log on to www.ust.edu.ng for any postgraduate program application and making an online payment of thirty thousand naira (N30,000.00) only,

using interswitch verve - enabled cards. Complete your application form online, downloaded and hard copies should be submitted to the Secretary, Postgraduate School along with the following:
  • Photocopies of your Certificates (clear photocopies are required).
  • Academic certified transcripts, attached to the downloaded identification forms gotten from the University’s website. Applicants should ensure that their academic transcript copies are sent under a top confidential cover directly to the Office of the Secretary, Postgraduate School, Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt.
  •  A total of three referees are needed, and a reference letter from each of the referees(including a reference letter from the academic institution you attended last) stating that are eligible to undertake advanced programs and research. The referees should state that they are confident that the applicant will benefit from the studies.
Ph.D. applicants should add brief research proposals on their proposed areas of study, this should also be attached with the application forms.

Application Deadline
The institution will stop receiving application forms submitted online and at the Postgraduate School on August 10th, 2017.

JAMB Enables Portal For 2017 Direct Entry Registration - See Official Guide

Official Direct Entry Registration Guide

1. Create your JAMB profile account (its not necessary creating another account if you already got one).

2. Print the confirmation mail once account have been created and precede to the bank for payment(PIN vending)

3. Enter the vended PIN  gotten from the bank on the JAMB Registration Application or the mobile application or  at a verified CBT centre.

4. Complete other required information through the mobile application or the JAMB Registration Application at an accredited CBT centre.

5. Go to the nearest verified CBT centre to capture passport and fingerprints (only the CBT Centers can do this).

Note: If you have an account before, then print your Direct Entry Pre-payment slip.

Login to your dashboard and click Direct Entry Registration to print the Pre-payment Slip.

Note: The cost for the Direct Entry form is five thousand Naira (N5000). However you will have to pay additional Five Hundred Naira (N500) for the book "Last Days at Forcadoes High School."

(a) Purchase a Bank draft of ten thousand naira (N10,000) only in favour of Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro from any Commercial Banks in Nigeria.

(b) Obtain receipt from the Bursary Department with the Bank draft.

(c) Collect HND application form for admission from the Admissions Office of the Polytechnic with the receipt obtained from the Bursary Department.

(d) Complete the form and submit to the Admissions Office for further necessary action with photocopies of your claimed credentials.


Screening Date
9th — 17th October, 2017 screening exercise will start at Various Heads of Department Offices.

The PART-TIME NATIONAL DIPLOMA Programme which was recently introduced to the school, aimed at helping people (both working Class and not-working Class) who crave to get the ND Certificate while involving in their normal activities.

DIPLOMA programmes, NATIONAL DIPLOMA (PART-TIME) Programmes in different courses and PRE-HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (PRE-HND), is now certified by the Consultancy Services.

The PRE-HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (PRE-HND) are structured to cover two semesters based on the courses offered by the Polytechnic, DIPLOMA and the NATIONAL DIPLOMA (PART-TIME) Programmes are structured for two years which involve a total of Four (4) semesters.

To get the application form, a non-refundable fee of N2,500 should be paid for the DIPLOMA and NATIONAL DIPLOMA (PART-TIME) and a sum of N3,000 only for PRE-HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA(PRE-HND) at the office of the Director, Consultancy Services Unit, Nasarawa State Polytechnic, Lafia beginning from Monday, 10th July, 2017.

BIU To Graduate 722 Students At Its 13th Convocation, 60 First Class Degrees To Be Awarded

The Benson Idahosa University will  graduate a total of 722 students at its 13th convocation ceremony which will hold on Saturday.

However the University Vice Chancellor, Prof Ernest Izevbigie disclosed that the 13th convocation ceremony involves;

A total of 60 first Class degree Students.

A total of 144 Second Class Upper degree Students.

A total of 364 Second Class Lower degree Students.

And a total of 38 Third Class degree Students.

The "Titans" as the graduating students were nicknamed, are trained to produce global top notchers he said.

He added that the institutions convocation lecture will be delivered by the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose.
