While ASUU had it as a sad policy, Vice Chancellors strictly maintained that they wouldn't have University standards reduced by Jamb.

In interviews, the Vice- Chancellor of University of Ibadan , Prof. Idowu Olayinka, had it that it would never admit any candidate that scored less than 200. He even commended the Federal Government decision to re -introduce the post- UTME test.

The Vice- Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education , Ogun State , Prof. Oluyemisi Obilade , said that the institution will never go below 180.

In essence, this new trend adds no value to the university system.
