N200,000 MTN Foundation Scholarship Scheme For Nigerians - 2018

The MTN Nigeria Foundation Limited application is now available, this foundation em was developed to enrich the efforts of MTN Nigeria in the aspect of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives to assist in reducing poverty and increase sustainable development in Nigeria.

However, the application is open to all high academic performing full-time second-year students, who are studying in any tertiary institutions (universities, colleges of education and polytechnics) in Nigeria. This scholarship gives a financial support to students who might otherwise find it difficult to pay for their tertiary education fees and aims to recognize and reward academic excellence.
This scholarship is made available for students studying a course in Science and Technology and it will cover tuition, allowance, book, and stipends.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be Nigerian
  • Applicants must be full-time second-year students studying in public tertiary institutions (universities, colleges of education and polytechnics) in Nigeria.
  • Applicants must have maintained a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or its equivalent (second class upper/upper credit)

UNN JUPEB Entrance Examination Date And Details - 2017/2018

The JUPEB entrance examination for 2017/2018 academic season has been approved and scheduled by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka Management, on Date: Friday, 29th September 2017.

Candidates are hereby requested to be punctual and to come along with their application printout and writing materials.

Date/ Guidelines for the Screening of Results of Successful Candidates.

Date: 9th -10th October 2017.

Candidates are requested to come along with the following items:

Breaking News: ASUU Calls Off Strike, Directs Lecturers To Resume With Immediate Effect

The strike action embarked by the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities(ASUU), has officially been called off.

Based on our report, Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities(ASUU), has suspended its strike until the end of October, this is to enable the government to fulfill their promise.

The strike suspension was announced after a meeting with the government delegation on Monday evening.

At the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed during the meeting with the federal government delegation, which was led by the Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige.

Consequently, the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities(ASUU), on has called on lecturers to resume duty as from today Tuesday 19th, 2017.

Alvan Ikoku College of Education Post-UTME Screening Form 2017/18 Out

This is to inform the general public and candidates who scored 160 and above for the Degree programme, 100 and above for the NCE Programme and choose Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education (AICE), Owerri as First Choice institution in the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
However, all candidates who scored 160 and above for the Degree programme, 100 and above for the NCE Programme but did not choose Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education as the First choice institution can also apply for the NCE and Degree programmes respectively.

Candidates are also requested to send their  JAMB Direct Entry printout, NCE/OND statement of results or certificates together with their O’level results photocopies to the same office.

How To Apply:
  1. Log unto http://www.alvanikoku.edu.ng
  2. Click on PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
  3. Click on 2017/2018 application, read and understand the instructions on the page and clock on next.
  4. Input your JAMB registration number to generate your remita invoice.
  5.  Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00), processing fee would be required to be paid by Eligible candidates, excluding bank charges.
  6. Precede to Alvana Microfinance Bank or any commercial bank and make your payment with the RRR number.
  7. Come back to the portal to complete your registration
  8. Enter your RRR number.
  9. Enter JAMB registration number
  10. Enter your details
  11. Click next and upload your documents;
  • Passport
  • L.G.A. identification
  • Birth Certificate
  • JAMB result page
  • O’level result
Then submit and print your acknowledgement slip
Wait for information from the College.
Ensure to religiously follow these steps to avoid encountering problems at any stage of the process.

ASUU Strike: Lecturers meet govt delegation, fix another meeting for Monday

On Friday, a closed door meeting was held between the Federal government representatives and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASSU, Leadership.

This meeting was held at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment in Abuja, to notify the Federal government on the conclusions made by the various ASSU chapters.

However, the different ASSU chapters has met to review the strike, the Federal government's offer and concludes whether or not to call off their strick. Some branches wanted it to be called off while other branches voted for a continuation.

Although the National Executive Council of the union reportedly met late Friday night to examine the views of the various chapters, officials have declined to comment on what was discussed during the meeting.

UNILAG Post-UTME Form 2017: Cut off Mark, Screening Date Postponed

The University of Lagos (UNILAG), Post-UTME Admission Screening Exercise applications for 2016/2017 Academic Session will start on Thursday, August 31st,
 2017 as notified by the management of the institution.

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES:
To all prospective candidates of University of Lagos who made the institution the first choice and scored 200 in the 2017/2018 are eligible for the screening.


However, candidates required to possess five (5) credit passes at one sitting in relevant O/level subjects, English Language and Mathematics inclusive.
Prospective Candidates must be sixteen (16) years of age before 31st October 2017 to be eligible to apply.
Also, any candidates who do not participate in the Post-UTME Screening exercise will not be considered for admission.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Eligible candidates should log on to University website www.unilag.edu.ng and click on ‘Admissions’
Click on Post-UTME Application
Login with UTME number as username and surname in lowercase as password
Generate and print payment advice
Proceed to any commercial bank or online to make payment of Two thousand, five hundred Naira (N2,500) only
Return to the University portal, upload passport photograph and complete the application form
Print Post-UTME Examination Pass.

NOTE: Candidates will be required to upload their O’level results to complete the application. Candidates are advised to adhere strictly to
 the guidelines and obtain necessary clarifications.

SCREENING DETAILS:

A new date for Unilag Post-UTME aptitude test will be announced soon.

CLOSING DATE:

Application for this date will end on 15th September 2017.

All candidates with 100 marks and above in the 2017/2018 JAMB UTME are eligible to apply for the online admission screening into National Diploma Programmes.

1. Original copy of 2017 JAMB UTME Result.

2. Original copy of O’level Result(s)

4. Original copy of National Diploma Statement of Result obtained from NBTE Accredited Institution.

5. Original copy of Letter of Completion of 1 year Industrial Training.

APPLICATION FEE
Screening Application Fee for National Diploma is Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00).

The Screening Application Fee should be paid in any bank within Nigeria by candidates via the Remita Platform of Uwana Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
Candidates are to visit www.polyunwana.net (Polytechnic’s Website) for their online Admission Screening Application Form completion. The website is available on 1 September, 2017 and closes on 21 September, 2017.
