Breaking News: ASUU Calls Off Strike, Directs Lecturers To Resume With Immediate Effect

The strike action embarked by the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities(ASUU), has officially been called off.

Based on our report, Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities(ASUU), has suspended its strike until the end of October, this is to enable the government to fulfill their promise.

The strike suspension was announced after a meeting with the government delegation on Monday evening.

At the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed during the meeting with the federal government delegation, which was led by the Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige.

Consequently, the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities(ASUU), on has called on lecturers to resume duty as from today Tuesday 19th, 2017.
