2018 UTME Registered 1.2 Million Candidates So Far

Based on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board statistics, about 1.2 million candidates have registered for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination.

The boards head of media, Dr Benjamine disclosed on Monday that candidates could choose the police academy, college of Education or the Nigeria Defence Academy as their first choice of institution.

He also gave the assurance that the examination would not fall short of the expectations of Nigerians.

The examination is expected to hold between March 9th - 17th, 2018.

All successfully admitted candidates should follow the guidelines below to regularize their acceptance of the offer:

1. Go to the official webpage (www.unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.edu.ng) of University of Nigeria Nsukka, Log in by inputing your JAMB Registration number this will help to generate an invoice for payment, download the invoice, the invoice should contain a remitta number. This will help you make payment at any commercial bank.

2. Twenty Five Thousand Naira Only (N25, 000.00) acceptance fee is expected to be paid by the candidates using the invoice. A confirmation slip containing your Invoice number and confirmation number will be given to you at the bank after payment.

3 Return to the official webpage (www.unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.edu.ng) of University of Nigeria Nsukka, login by inputing your JAMB Registration Number, Invoice Number and the Confirmation Number proceed to the admission slip printing and completion of the the Acceptance Form online.

Yobe State University, YSU 2017/18 Students’ Registration Announcement.

The concession period for the completion of Registration has been scheduled to start from Monday 29th – Wednesday 31st January, 2018 for the following categories of students, who have been admitted by the management of the Yobe State University (YSU), Damaturu.

UNN Hostel Accommodation Notice To All Newly Admitted Students

To all newly admitted students of the University of Nigeria Nssuka, you are to note that the following sensitive information relating to student accommodation for the 2017/2018 session.

However, Do not apply if your name is not on the First Years’ Supplementary List II admission list.Read below.

a. There has  been limited spaces for student accommodation by the University.

b. The accommodation is allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

c. During allocation, first year and final year students are considered first.

d. The schedule for hostel allocation includes that the First years are allocated 40% of the entire accommodation, final years 30% while others and special needs are allocated 30%.

e. All Nursing Mothers should notify the authorities earlier and must apply for accommodation online. (The total number of two students is the limit per room).

f. The following are highly prohibited and will attract eviction from the hostel:
– Any kind of squatting.
– Returning late to the hostel at night.
– Smoking.
– Intake of Alcohol.
– Stealing of any kind.
– Quarreling and Fighting.
– The use of hotplates, electric boiling ring, refrigerator, gas cooker and other high voltage electrical appliances.
– The use of generator sets.
– Bathing and defecating at undesignated places.
– Pouring of water in undesignated places.
- Defacing of Hostel walls by posting of bills, posters and any document.

g. Only students who qualified for hostel accommodation and have met the following below:
• Must have paid all school fees till date.
• Must have registered all courses online till date.
• Must possess the University student ID card or have been successfully captured for the University students ID card.
• Must have Possessed and using the University student email address.

i. All hostel accommodation invoices are valid for only three days after generation.
(Any student who fails to pay online within the three day period will forfeit the allocation).

j. All Rev Sisters should follow the approved process for accommodation.

k. All physically challenged students should also generate invoice and proceed to make payments.

Please find below the process flow:

  1. Visit the UNN Portal- www.unnportal.unn.edu.ng
  2. Input your username and password (Your username is your JAMB registration number for new students and Registration Number for old students)
  3. Click on Hostel Allocation
  4. Click on Apply for Bed space (Select Hostel and Room No)
  5. Click on Apply
  6. Ensure to Print the Invoice carrying your RRR number and go to the bank or make payment using your ATM Card
  7. Revisit the portal and Click on Hostel Allocation
  8. Click on pay for your hostel and enter your Remita Retrieval Reference number
  9. Submit and print Receipt.

The is to notify the general public that the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree management has released the First Batch of Admission List of candidates who have successfully applied for the National Diploma (Daily Part-Time) Programme of the Institution.

UNIZIK Inaugurates New Student Union Executive

The newly elected Students Union Government (SUG) officials of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka has been inaugurated for the 2017/2018 academic session by the management.

JAMB Direct Entry 2018 Registration Form is Out

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has published the registration procedure for Direct Entry (DE) admission into the different tertiary institutions for 2017/2018 academic session.

However, the sale or registration for DE candidates including those from Foreign Countries begins from 6th December, 2017 to 6th February, 2018.

JAMB DE Admission Requirements:

Any candidates with any of the following qualifications listed below, may be considered for Direct Entry admission:

(i) A minimum of five (5) GCE/WASCE credits at not more than two sittings with at least two Principal or Advanced level G.C.E. and the others.

(ii) Two passes at the IJMB Advanced Level Examination, Cambridge moderated Schools of Basic Studies Terminal Examination, JUPEB or Institute of Baccalaureate from recognised institutions with SSCE/GCE, NTS/NBC credits equivalent in three other subjects (SUBJECT TO UNIVERSITY REQUIREMENTS).

(iii) Passes in two major subjects in the NCE with S.S.C.E., NTC/NBC credits or equivalents in THREE other subjects (mainly for Education Courses) and ND. Education may be accepted as a third A’ Level subject for those taking courses in Education.

(iv) Minimum of lower credit grade in National Diploma or National Innovation Diploma including the O’Level requirements.

(v) Candidates are to note that they will be required to provide their JAMB registration number which they used in gaining admission to NCE, Diploma etc for Direct Entry admission.

Steps To Apply for JAMB Direct Entry 2018:

1. The 2017 Direct Entry Registration fee is Five Thousand Naira (₦5,000) only. Candidates should pay Five Hundred Naira (₦500) only for the Direct Entry examination reading text ”The Last Days at Forcados High School”.

2.  Enter www.jamb.org.ng to create an account on this platform (You do not need to create account if you already have one)

3.  Once account is created, ensure to print the confirmation mail and take it to the bank for payment(PIN vending)

4. Continue registration by supplying the vended PIN on the mobile application or the JAMB Registration Application at CBT centre.

5.  Supply other required information through the mobile application or the JAMB Registration Application at CBT centre.

6.  Visit any nearest CBT centre to capture passport and fingerprints (this is only done at any Accredited JAMB CBT centre)

Note: Direct Entry Pre-payment slip can be printed if you already have an account (this is a tender for your bank payment)

Sign in to your dashboard and click Direct Entry Registration to print your Pre-payment Slip.

As it is the practice, centres are allowed to charge not more than Seven Hundred Naira (₦700) only as registration fee. Any centre that charges more than ₦700 should be reported to JAMB for appropriate sanctions.

Important Information:

Candidates should note that they will be texted on a general text "The Last Days at Forcados High School” by A.H. Mohammed, irrespective of their choice of course of study.

DE CANDIDATES WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THEIR JAMB REGISTRATION NUMBERS WITH WHICH THEY GAINED ADMISSION TO NCE/NID/DIPLOMA AND PREVIOUS DEGREE PROGRAMMES.

KSUSTA Cancels Mid Semester Break, Announces Registration Deadline, 2017/2018

The MID-SEMESTER BREAK which was earlier scheduled to start from Monday, 22nd to Saturday, 27th January, 2018 for Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero (KSUSTA) 2017/2018 academic activities has been cancelled because of the different challenges faced in registration and admission processes. This was discussed during a Meeting which was held on Wednesday, 17th January, 2018.
Sequel to the above, the completion of registration for returning and fresh students has been scheduled to hold from Monday, 22nd January, to Friday, 2nd February, 2018. Students are advice to complete their registration within the time given.

Any student who failed to comply with the registration will not partake in lectures, test or any academic activity, hence evidence of registration will be required from students to participate in any academic activity.

Students who could not register within the time given are advised to defer the session in their own interest.
